Therapy is both an art and a science - grounded in research, guided by empathy, and designed for real people, real relationships, and real change.
Real Therapy For Real People
What if you could change the story you tell yourself?
We all have a story. Sometimes, that story holds pain: challenges in our relationships, struggles with anxiety or depression, or old wounds that still shape how we live and connect. Over time, those patterns can become heavy.
But your story isn’t fixed and doesn’t have to be a tale of woe. Healing doesn’t mean erasing what’s come before - it means understanding it, reclaiming it, and writing what comes next. You don’t have to change it all by yourself. That’s why we’re here.
Our office is located in downtown Somers Point, NJ, for those who prefer in-person sessions. For your convenience, we also offer secure online therapy for clients anywhere in New Jersey.
At G.I.A., we take a relational approach to therapy, meaning we understand you need to “click” with your therapist — to feel truly seen, heard, and understood — for the work to be successful. We prioritize building that connection. We’re real people who provide real, interactive and comfortable therapy.
We work with children, teens, and adults, blending traditional therapy with the latest insights from neuroscience, practical strategies, and expressive arts modalities. Our approach is informed by relational and attachment-informed healing. We will help you find new solutions, improve relationships, heal old wounds, and discover the best parts of yourself. While therapy may involve dealing with tough feelings, we also believe in finding moments of laughter and joy, even in the mess.
Our Approach
Our Team
As relational therapists, we firmly believe that working with a therapist who “gets” you - one who you trust can help you - is the foundation for successful therapy.
There is no “one-size-fits-all” therapy, so we offer a variety of approaches and options. Each clinician has been handpicked for their dedication to their craft and has specialized interests, training, and areas of expertise.
To ensure the best possible match, we'll schedule a consultation to discuss your specific needs and preferences. We'll consider your cultural background and identity, your goals, and your financial situation to help connect you with a therapist who is right for you.

Providing excellent clinical care requires continuous learning and up-to-date knowledge of the latest evidence-based treatments. It also requires ongoing supervision by experienced therapists. Our Institute offers clinicians seeking professional growth and/or licensure an opportunity to work with clients under the guidance of expert clinicians. The curriculum includes assigned readings, case presentations, intensive supervision, one-way mirror observation, and individual performance reviews.
